Sarah’s Donation to Sebringville Athletic Association (SAA)

Sarah MacAlpine (pictured left) chose to donate her staff donation to the Sebringville Athletic Association. The SAA is a registered charity made up of volunteers who operate the Community Centre, baseball diamonds, and playground. They host community events such as Bingo, family dances, and holiday family craft events. The SAA receives no regular public funding, as they operate entirely on donations, fundraising, and rentals.  Sarah is Vice President of the SAA and a parent of participating children.

On August 21, Sarah spent her volunteer day helping to set up their Family Fun Day by gathering auction items, picking up food and supplies, and helping to prep the hall and outdoor spaces. On August 22, Sarah volunteered all day to keep the event running smoothly and as a parent to enjoy the day with her kids.
