Gabrielle Therrien, a Claims Adjuster, here at Tradition has donated to Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington. The Alzheimer Society helps not only those living with dementia or Alzheimer’s but also those who love and care for those with dementia or Alzheimer’s. Society has many resource packages for those that are newly diagnosed to help them understand the changes that may go on, help plan for the future, and education about the disease.

The Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington recognizes that the disease may be difficult to deal with at any stage. The Society has many different support services and programs for all those that the disease impacts. Some of the programs provide social and physical activities that provide stimulation such as music, golfing, and crafts. There are also connections directly to health care providers to ensure the best care is provided.

Tradition’s donation went to help 18 families with First Link navigation counselling. This counselling is provided to families to help them cope with the new dementia diagnosis. We are glad that the donation can help make a difficult time a little bit easier.
