Alicia’s Donation Story
Alicia DeVries, an Agent here at Tradition, has donated to Ronald McDonald House, Southwestern Ontario. Ronald McDonald houses are a place where families can stay to be close to their hospitalized children. The houses provide the comforts of home so families can focus on what is most important, their children. Last year the southwestern chapters helped 4,605 families.
The Ronald McDonald House holds a special place in Alicia’s heart. Her eldest son, Caleb, was born eight weeks early and spent his first three weeks in the NICU at London Health Sciences Centre in London. Alicia and her husband live in Huron County and they were grateful to stay so close to Caleb. They were able to spend the majority of their time with Caleb and did not have to worry about transportation, parking, or meals. Alicia says that staying at the Ronald McDonald House was a huge weight lifted off of her family’s shoulders during one of the most stressful times they have ever faced.
The Ronald McDonald House is a place of hope and healing. The houses are not government funded and rely on donations alone to help as many families as possible. Tradition is grateful to give back to an organization that has helped one of our own.
